Creekside Community Church is a gathering of people who love Jesus Christ. God wants all the people of Oyster Creek, Texas, to know Him and love Him, too.
We love families at Creekside, and seek to strengthen families by teaching the young and not-so-young alike the principles of God’s Truth and Life as found in His Word, the Bible. We worship God by connecting with Him and lifting Him up through music, Bible study, and prayer. We love each other by accepting each other just as we are. We’re not perfect; we just serve a God Who is! We serve the world by looking for ways to meet practical needs of the community we live in.

Please pray for Ray. He went in for Cataract surgery last week. Now he has only partial sight in the eye. He can not see things looking straight. The doctor says he has optical nerve damage possibly from a stroke. ??? of course they are not going to admit to making a mistake.

Friends and followers, Creekside Community Church is joining with The Carpenter's House Community Fellowship to better reach the community of Oyster Creek. We will soon officially combine under the incorporation of The Carpenter's House. Our web site and Facebook page will redirect to The Carpenter's House ones (if I can figure out how to do it). Creekside/Carpenter's House friends: I need to borrow a 20' (+/-) trailer to bring some materials from Tyler to use in remodeling the Worship Center at Church. We'd need to borrow it tonight/early tomorrow for a few days. Thanks in advance! PS: The original plan fell through 😒

Starting tomorrow, Feb. 25th, "The Mind of Christ" series in Adult Bible Study, 9:15 AM. The Mind of Christ is an in-depth discipleship study that introduces believers to a lifelong process through which God will renew their minds and their lives to reflect the image of Christ. Based on Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,” the study shows you how Jesus’ mind worked and how the Holy Spirit can teach you to think as He did. Great discussions, sweet fellowship, feeding on The Word! Come join us! (Sorry, no child care at 9:15.)
First Friday = PRAY for our community, our state, and our country, as Creekside and The Carpenter's House join together with Oyster Creek United Methodist Church in 1Church/1Day of Prayer. The most powerful act we can take is to pray.
Friends, yesterday I brought a message on the Persecuted Church, and how we must be praying and lifting up our brothers and sisters whose lives are in danger constantly simply because they embrace Jesus as Savior and Lord. I said, "This hasn't happened to us. Yet." I was unaware of the tragic murders in a sister church not 300 miles west of us. Was that heinous act "persecution"? Was it "terrorism"? What can we do? Here is what Thom Rainer of LifeWay, Inc., wrote this morning: We Are First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas According to the latest reports, at least 26 people are dead, including the pastor’s 14-year-old daughter. Many more are wounded. Families are devastated. The small community is in shock. My words are not adequate. But these things I will do: I will pray. I will pray for the families of those killed and wounded. I will pray for the church. I will pray for the community. I will pray for Pastor Frank Pomeroy as he leads and comforts his congregation in the midst of his own grief. I will pray for the shooter’s family. I will trust God for His comfort, His promise, and His guidance for those affected. I will pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be magnified in this tragedy. And I will embrace in spirit the members of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. I will identify with my brothers and sisters in Christ. We are First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. We are your brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for you. We care for you. We love you. Please, readers, join me in sharing your own prayers and love for this church and all those impacted by this tragedy.

VBS is coming! VBS is coming! The Oyster Creek Community of Faith presents "Everest" July 20th - 24th, 5:30-8:30 PM. You can print out the "Enrollment Form" below and turn it in at City Hall, bring it by Creekside Community Church, Friendly Grounds Coffee House, or the Oyster Creek United Methodist Church. We had such a fantastic VBS last year and it should be even bigger and even more fun this year! Sign up soon! And, for you bigger "campers," we can always use more help, too! You'll be blessed!
